Our goal is to create an environment where examiners can speak openly and honestly without the restrictions of forced diplomacy or the constraints of having to observe over-bearing rules of political correctness.
As long as the PCs have an endless supply of examiners who will work for next to nothing and not stand their ground over anything, the PCs will continue to have all the power and will continue doing whatever they want.
The majority of examiners have been and continue to be those kinds of people.
It is tax time and some questions have come up which led me to this board. I was able to deduct mileage last year and this year I’m told as a W2 employee I cannot.
This makes me want a raise or basically makes the job not so well paying any longer. This would be a bummer because I truly love it so I would like to know what kind of score I have and what I can request for rates.
I don’t want to be a pushover examiner but I don’t care to do this independently. The office staff plays it totally close to the belt. I have never even met another examiner within my company. Any advice for this semi newbie?
Ps I see maybe 5 clients per week have contemplated buying my own EKG because I don’t do enough cases to get one through ExamOne. I don’t make many mistakes so I’m assuming this counts towards scorecards.
