Expired CRL Kits

Postby DirectExaminer » Fri Feb 19, 2016 10:55 pm

Does anyone know what I can do because I found some CRL kits in the garage that I totally forgot about and now they expired?? There are over 40 kits in this box and that they expired last Oct '15.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

USE THEM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DO NOT PAY CRL FOR ANY MORE LAB KITS THAN YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO

I have used expired kits many, many times and have NEVER had an issue.

Believe me, CRL does not want to have to explain to any insurance company why they rejected ANY specimens.

At the ridiculous price they charge for kits that's over $360 you get to keep in your pocket instead of theirs.

They can be used, however you may find that the tubes lose a bit of vacuum.

Thank you guys!
What about the tablet/capsule inside the urine tube, does that go bad? I will change the tubes.

Place the barcode over the expiration date.
