What else will they give away?

An "ANYTHING GOES" forum for discussing the interests, issues and concerns of the paramedical examiner community. Sharing ideas, knowledge, experiences and opinions is strongly encouraged.

However, we do ask that all participants respect the rights of others to communicate in whatever manner they wish, positive or negative, and TRY to behave respectfully toward one another when conflicts in views or opinions arise.

Our goal is to create an environment where examiners can speak openly and honestly without the restrictions of forced diplomacy or the constraints of having to observe over-bearing rules of political correctness.

What else will they give away?

If a paramed is not required, always record vitals on labslip unless they have already been obtained on a previous order. This includes HOS/Blood only orders.

this is in the email superior sent out about lab kit guidelines.

HELLO ???

YOU'RE KIDDING, RIGHT ?

an hos only or a blood only or a blood/hos only are exactly what they say they are
ONLY
and they are each separate services.

when you add vitals to them they become different services.

if you want vitals included you change the order to vitals/hos vitals/blood or vitals/blood/hos and PAY for the inclusion of the vitals.

please people, THINK.
Just because they tell you to do extra for free, it doesn't mean you have to.
make sure you get paid for every thing you do.
if you don't they'll just keep adding freebies to your plate and everybody elses.

SERIOUSLY! But, then won't they ding us for "providing too much information", like they threatened to do if you get three blood pressure readings but only one is required?

Superior, if you're reading this, and I know you are, MIGHT want to re-define that to be in line with the REST OF THE INDUSTRY.
