Re: Discouraged

Miss Manners writes..."You might want to re-examine your opinion". Because YOU say so Miss Manners? I think not. Your "I'm better than the rest of you all" attitude is why I am so put off by this site... Peace Out fellow examiners. The crap, (petty arguing), that I find my...

Discouraged

The last several times that I have been on this board, I have been discouraged by the sarcasm, mean-spirited, name calling. So much so that I have seriously thought of staying out of the site. The number of "Superior thinkers" is unreal. Seems that what started as a great tool for examiner...

Re: Lazy or ???

I agree with Stickler, "lighten up"...It's a very confusing process to go from working for the PC's to going direct. It's good to see what works for different examiners. Let's face it, it's not a well-defined process. If you don't want to "answer the same questions over and over"...

Re: Applicants Height

I place a ruler on the top of their head when they are standing against the wall then ask them to step back and record height. I record to the closest 1/2 mark. :)

Re: Hesitant to send business

There is absolutely NO REASON why ANY business should have to wait up to about 1/3 of a year to get paid for services completed. I know of no other industry that works that way. In fact, insurance companies demand an initial premium check from the applicant and even that doesn't guarantee coverage ...

Going direct

I'm trying to go direct but find the process overwhelming...can anyone help with...? Do I need to form an LLC? :?: Do I need a business liscense? :?: Do I need insurance, other than auto, of course? :?: Is it best to... #1. Obtain supplies, (where is it best to do that?) #2. Find somewhere to bill t...

Re: E-Exams, Anyone done an exam with a netbook?

NOT a fan at all. Did them for APPS and found them to be far more trouble than they were worth. Seldom went smoothly. System was always painfully slow causing awkward moments of silence with client. My 20 minute exam became a 45 minute exam...Agree with other posts that you should wait until this pr...

Re: APPS

Packet handling, which was 4 out of every 5 exams, no additional money. Always between 21 and 38 pages... I am working at the hospital now and love my job here but really really miss the flexiablity of being an examiner. I have been at the hospital since APPS cut the pay back to $21.50 but continued...

APPS

The more I read here the madder I get. - Because there has never been a forum like this before, and there has not been a way for me to "guage" the industry, I have been ABUSED for 6 plus yrs. When I realize how much money I have left on the table over the years it literally makes me...

Re: ExamOne loosing revenue!!

APPS (Atlanta) pays $21.50 for State Farm and everything else across the flipping board, EKG's, packets, etc...Any company any case except Lap top exams, they pay $31.50 for those! Should be illegal!

Re: Howz APPS?

APPS is very heavy into packet work. They were stupid in having examiners deal with this. Insurance co should be mailing packets to applicant with no involvement from the examiner. I think Apps is probably has the lowest case load of all exam co out there. So I guess they take any insurance co garb...
